Seal Coat Work Scheduled to Begin on Missouri Route 3 in Randolph County

HANNIBAL - Weather permitting, a seal coating project, located on Missouri Route 3 in Randolph County, from U.S. Route 24 east junction to Missouri Route 129 at Roanoke, is expected to begin the week of August 12. The length of the improvement is 8.5 miles with anticipated completion by late September.

The $8.8M contract, awarded to Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. last year, also includes the following pavement improvement projects listed below that have been completed:

  • Missouri Route 3 - Resurfacing from Missouri Route 11 in Adair County to U.S. Route 24 at Clifton Hill in Randolph County (52 miles)
  • Route C - Resurfacing from U.S. Route 36 in Macon County to Route JJ at Huntsville in Randolph County (23.7 miles)

Traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction in place at the location where crews are actively working for the duration of the project. Flaggers and a pilot car will be utilized to direct motorists through the work zone. Signs and message boards will be in place to alert motorists, as schedule changes occur. All work is weather dependent and schedules are subject to change.
