Vacancy announced on Pinellas County Health Facilities Authority

Applications are being accepted for an appointment to the Pinellas County Health Facilities Authority. This appointment is for a term of four years, beginning Dec. 1, 2024.

The Health Facilities Authority is a conduit financing authority that issues revenue bonds for non-profit health care facilities, including hospitals, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and hospice facilities. Meetings of the Authority are scheduled on the second Wednesday of each month to consider applications for financing approval.

Applicants must be residents of Pinellas County, and should be knowledgeable of the health care field, and bond financing. A business, accounting or legal background is a plus. Candidates must be willing to attend meetings to ensure the Authority has a quorum. Applications can be found at https://pinellas.gov/boards-councils-and-committees/. Applications must be received by 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, 2024.

The Board of County Commissioners will review all applications and make its selection at an upcoming meeting.
