More than 60 researchers advocate on Capitol Hill

This summer, PhRMA welcomed 62 researchers from our member companies to Washington, D.C. for our annual Federal Researcher Fly-In event. The researchers met with more than 100 congressional offices to talk about the importance of protecting their ability to innovate.

I was fortunate to meet these researchers and hear about the work they do each day on behalf of patients. They are firsthand witnesses to the importance of maintaining an innovative ecosystem through strong policies that protect intellectual property and address the pill penalty in the Inflation Reduction Act. Whether it's the fight against cancer, harnessing the power of the genome or driving treatment advances for Alzheimer's disease, their work makes a difference for people around the world.

I'm thankful for the incredible impact the researchers at America's biopharmaceutical companies have on the lives of patients and their families.
