State Police arrest Chestertown man for Rape

On September 9, 2024, State Police arrested Riley P. May, 23, of Chestertown, NY, for Rape in the second degree and Criminal Sex act in the second degree.

On August 19, 2024, at about 5:25 p.m., Troopers received information that an adult male had sexual relations with a child under 15 years of age. The investigation determined May reportedly had sexual relations with a child under the age of 15 on more than one occurrence while in the town of Chestertown, NY, in the summer of 2024.

May surrendered himself to SP Queensbury, where he was arrested and processed. He was arraigned at the Chestertown Town Court and released under the supervision of the Warren County Probation Department.
