INCIDENT SUMMARY: According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff's Office arrested Jason B. LaRoe, age 53, of Fort Edward, New York for Promoting Prison Contraband in the First Degree, class D Felony. The arrest was made after an investigation determined that LaRoe, who is currently incarcerated in the Washington County Correctional Facility on unrelated criminal charges, was found to be in possession of dangerous contraband while in the Correctional Facility.

LaRoe was arraigned in Central Arraignment Proceedings and held pending future court appearances.
