Wall Street Journal/College Pulse: NJIT Top 50 in US for Alumni Salaries, Social Mobility, Value

New Jersey Institute of Technology ranks in the top 50 in three key metrics among the public and private schools selected for the Wall Street Journal/College Pulse 2025 list of the Best Colleges in the U.S.
NJIT ranks No. 26 nationally in Best Salaries, No. 30 in Social Mobility and No. 50 in Best Value. In addition, in its peer group of public universities, NJIT is No. 48 in the U.S. The numbers underscore NJIT's standing as a leading national polytechnic.
"This recognition affirms our belief in an education that combines rigorous academics, innovative research and practical real-world experiences," NJIT President Teik C. Lim said. "We help our graduates realize their goals and become both leaders and innovators."

Among New Jersey's public institutions, NJIT was No. 1 in the Best Value and Best Salaries categories.
Only a third of the institutions that WSJ/College Pulse considered made the Best Colleges list. The selections are based on metrics that measure student outcomes and a survey of some 110,000 students and recent graduates.
The metrics examined four return-on-investment outcomes: how much a university's degree boosts a graduate's salary, how long it takes the grad to pay off the net cost, the university's graduation rate and its diversity.
The survey asked more than 50 questions about learning, career preparation, facilities, value, campus life, character and diversity. College Pulse and Statista were the journal's research partners on the ranking.
