Marymount invests in foundational infrastructure to enhance student success

Following years of strategic planning and development, Marymount University's campus infrastructure investments deliver results and enhance the student experience as we enter the new academic year.

Preliminary financial data reveals that Marymount has successfully exceeded financial benchmarks, paving the way for a robust and stable Fiscal Year 2025. The University also recently achieved a significant milestone with the full rollout of the Workday suite, including the Workday Student module. That module's implementation, added to the previously deployed Human Capital and Finance modules, positions the University to realize the full potential of an integrated enterprise resource platform. With this modern system in place, Marymount is set to enhance operational efficiency across all levels, streamlining processes and improving access to vital information for staff and students.

Marymount's highly anticipated Reinsch Pierce Family Campus Hub will open in early November. This new 6,240-square-foot facility will be the premier gathering space on campus, offering a state-of-the-art Barnes & Noble Bookstore and spirit shop, a meeting and social area for faculty, students and visitors, and Lola's Café, with a terrace overlooking the Converse Family Field. Made possible by a $2.8 million gift from the Reinsch Pierce Family Foundation, the Campus Hub will become a vibrant center for connection and community, continuing the legacy of generosity from the Reinsch Pierce family that has spanned generations.

Thanks to recent renovations and the dedicated engagement efforts of the Student Living team, Marymount's main campus residence halls are projected to reach 90 percent occupancy for the upcoming academic year. Rowley Hall, Butler Hall, Gerard Phelan Hall and Berg Hall have all undergone upgrades to create more comfortable and convenient living environments that promote student success. With the support of resident assistants, Marymount fosters a sense of community, ensuring students have the resources and connections they need to thrive on campus.

With the work of Chef Greg Bibb and his team, Marymount's dining services received improved reviews with student satisfaction scores reaching new heights. Recent initiatives contributing to this success include expanding the salad bar and introducing an allergen-free section in the dining hall. With a focus on diverse, high-quality meals and tailored dining experiences, Marymount Dining continues to provide delicious and accommodating options for all students.

Finally, the Division of Finance and Operations has made significant strides to enhance its staff diversity and more closely mirror the diverse makeup of Marymount's student body. After considerable effort in seeking qualified candidates with diverse backgrounds, 39 percent of employees now identify as Hispanic, 28 percent White, 23 percent Black, eight percent Asian and one percent multiracial. This helps demonstrate the University's commitment to prioritizing representation and equity across all institution levels.

These efforts reflect a larger plan to foster growth and ensure long-term financial health through key investments in campus facilities, diversifying revenue streams and strategic program adjustments. With record first-year class sizes in recent years, and other positive financial indicators such as revenue from third-party rent, dining services, Saints 24 locations and an expected full capacity at the Early Learning Academy, these measures are paying off.
