This July, Celebrate 'Where You Belong' with Culture, Parks and Recreation

GREELEY, Colo. - This July, join the City of Greeley for Park and Recreation Month, as we celebrate how Greeley, Colorado, is stronger, more vibrant and more resilient because of parks and recreation. A variety of activities are planned for residents of all ages and abilities - including the Touch-a-Truck and Car Show event in Historic Downtown on Saturday, July 22.

Greeley Recreation is celebrating Park and Recreation Month, an initiative of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), by inviting our community to share their experiences, memories and stories about what parks and recreation mean to them. With everything from special events, Moonlight Movies, Arts Picnic, and the Farmers' Market, there are plenty of ways that you can celebrate with us, as well!

Kick off the monthlong celebration with a free outdoor event at the newly renovated Farr Park, located at 2610 13th Avenue. Explore the new rock climbing boulder during the Community Climb on Saturday, July 6, from 9-11 a.m. Greeley offers 44 beautiful parks, yearround entertainment at Island Grove Regional Park, and several natural areas for your enjoyment.

NRPA and the City of Greeley encourage everyone who supports parks and recreation to share how it has fostered belonging, as well as why their local park and recreation professionals are important to them, on social media with #WhereYouBelong.
