June 29, 2024
On Friday, June 28, 2024, at approximately 9:32 p.m. Pueblo Police responded to the 300 block of East Northern Avenue on the report of a shooting.
Officers arrived on scene at approximately 9:35 p.m. and located two adult female victims with injures. One of the female victims had non-life threatening injuries while the other suffered, serious, life threatening injuries. Both victims were transported to local area hospitals.
The female victim with serious life threatening injuries, was later declared deceased at the hospital. Pueblo Police Department Crimes Against Persons Detectives and Crime Scene Investigation Units are investigating this death as a homicide.
This is an active and ongoing investigation, and updates will be provided to the public as more information becomes available.
The deceased victim in this incident will be identified by the Pueblo County Coroner after appropriate notifications. The Coroner's Office will determine the cause and manner of death. This is the 14th homicide in Pueblo in 2024.
