Within the framework of his working visit to Colombia, President Vahagn Khachaturyan delivered a lecture at the "Colombian Institute of Higher Studies of Incolda" (Instituto Colombiano de Estudios Superiores de Incolda) in Cali, Colombia.
This private university was founded in 1979 by a group of entrepreneurs and is considered one of the most important higher education institutions in Colombia. The university offers a variety of programs in fields such as social sciences, commerce, information technology, engineering, and healthcare.
One of the university's missions is to support socioeconomic development in the region and to educate individuals with academic specialties in integrated, scientific and social fields. The Autonomous University of the West also conducts activist activities and cultural programs aimed at promoting students' participation in social life. As a private institution, the university's finances come from investors and representatives of the economic sector, who receive special flexible tax treatment from the Colombian government.
During the lecture, the President presented the students with an overview of the Republic of Armenia and the general situation in the region, touching on current events. In this context, President Vahagn Khachaturyan introduced the "Crossroads of Peace" project to the students and university leadership.
