DALLAS - At Moisés E. Molina High School, teacher Joshua Spindler encourages students to understand world issues that impact their future. Through hands-on discussions of past youth-led movements that spurred social change, his goal is to combat voter apathy while emphasizing the power of civic engagement. His approach shows students that despite differing opinions, voting is a way to shape outcomes and have a voice in their communities.

Community Listening Meetings
Dallas ISD will host its next Community Listening Meeting at Moisés E. Molina High School Monday, Oct. 28. Starting at 6:30 p.m., parents, students, staff, and community members will have the opportunity to share their insights that will help shape the district's priorities for the next five years. Attendees are encouraged to submit feedback through the online survey.

Lesson teaches students about the "magic" of circuits
This morning, UT Southwestern Biochemistry researchers visited Biomedical Preparatory at UT Southwestern for "Bio Fridays," a program where UTSW specialists share insights into their fields. Today's lesson covered electric circuits, with second and third-grade students creating "magic wands," while younger students made playdoh versions of the wands.
