Promotions in Finance, Hiring in Development Services

Fredericksburg, Texas -The City of Fredericksburg recently promoted Bridget Flint to Finance Manager in the Finance Department and Karen Kirchner moved to Utility Billing Analyst in the Finance Department, while hiring Jeanette Sanchez as the new Building Services Coordinator in the Development Services Department.Flint, who has been an accountant in the Finance Department since 2022, added payroll processing and preparation of quarterly and annual reporting to her duties in July. In total, the Llano High School graduate has over 20 years of governmental accounting experience with stops at the Hill Country Transit District and the City of Llano. She has been married for 40 years to husband, Alan, and they have two sons. Flint enjoys horseback riding and spending time with her friends and grandkids.

After spending three years with the Development Services Department, Kirchner moved to the Utility Billing team in early July. She is responsible for receiving payments, setting up new utility customers and helping others discontinue service. Kirchner was previously a teacher for 28 years and is married to Water Department Assistant Superintendent Bryan Kirchner. She has three children.

Sanchez comes to the City after 10 years as the Contractor Sales Representative with Foxworth-Galbraith Lumber Company in Kerrville. She started in the Development Services Department in July and handles all building permitting for the City, including building inspection scheduling and oversight of the City's permitting software - MyGovernmentOnline (MGO). Sanchez is the mother to three boys.
