Street Closure: 200 - 300 Blocks of N 2nd Ave E, 100 blocks of E 2nd St S & E 3rd St S

A major street reconstruction project will close parts of downtown Newton from August 12 through October 15. The project will affect the 200-300 blocks of N 2nd Ave E, the 100 block of E 2nd St N, and the 100 block of E 3rd St N. The work includes new PCC curbs and gutters, milling and overlaying mainline pavement, storm sewer construction, new sidewalks, and green space improvements. Additionally, the 100 block of N 2nd Ave E will receive an HMA mill and overlay. For questions, contact the Public Works Department at 641-792-6622.
