Investigation Update: Suspect Arrested Following a Shots Fired Incident in Roxbury

Investigation Update: At about 8:59 AM, on Friday, September 27, 2024, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force and officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested Gary Bon, 52, of Roxbury, in the area of 85 Warren Street. At the time of his arrest, the suspect was wanted on a warrant issued out of Roxbury District Court for Armed Assault to Murder, Firearm Use in a Felony, Discharging a Firearm Within 500 Feet of a Building, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm Third Offense, Firearm Violation with Three Prior Violent/Drug Crimes, and Destruction of Property over $1,200. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.

The facts and circumstances surrounding the prior incident are as follows: At about 3:25 PM, on Monday, September 23, 2024, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to the area of 39 Warren Street for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers began to search the area for possible victims and a suspect. Officers did not locate any victims, but located ballistic evidence on scene.
