U-Haul Reveals Plans for First Repair Shop in Pearl

PEARL, Miss. (July 23, 2024) - U-Haul® is sharing its plans to develop a state-of-the-art repair shop on Centre Pointe Boulevard in Pearl.

The 3.9-acre property was purchased on June 28 and is scheduled to open in April 2025.

Pearl Repair will be the first newly built facility to service U-Haul equipment in Mississippi. The 25,000-square-foot facility will fulfill the routine maintenance and repair needs currently being met by Jackson Repair Shop at 2234 Highway 80 W. in Jackson.

"After 44 years, we outgrew our Jackson Repair Shop," said Charles Johnston, U-Haul Company of Mississippi president. "The new property in Pearl will allow us to service more U-Haul equipment and grow our business in Mississippi."

The shop will employ technicians responsible for assembling and maintaining engines, transmissions, rear axles and more.

Johnston plans to hire several Team Members to staff the new shop when it is ready. U-Haul will look to hire locally to promote job growth in the Pearl community.
