As National Coffee Day brews excitement across the country, Fairfield University is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Silvermine Coffee Roasters, a rising star in Norwalk's coffee scene. Since opening in September 2023, Silvermine Coffee Roasters has rapidly gained popularity for its artisan coffee, and now, Fairfield University will proudly serve Red Sea Coffee at all University events.

Red Sea is available for pre-purchase online through Silvermine Coffee Roasters, and will soon be available at The Pantry in downtown Fairfield, Conn.

This exciting collaboration is a reflection of Fairfield University's ongoing commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships with small, community-focused enterprises. The carefully roasted coffee, crafted from responsibly sourced beans, will now fuel the academic and social life of Fairfield University students, faculty, and staff.

The Red Sea student fan section at Fairfield University -a long-standing campus tradition-embodies the enthusiasm, energy, and pride of our Stags. In honor of this tradition, Red Sea Coffee is named to celebrate the community spirit that has been a hallmark of Fairfield for decades.

"We are delighted to welcome Silvermine Coffee Roasters into our Fairfield community," said Jennifer Anderson, vice president of Marketing and Communications at Fairfield University. "This partnership not only provides our campus with exceptional coffee but also reinforces Fairfield University's dedication to supporting local businesses and cultivating sustainable relationships within our community."

With this partnership, Fairfield University brings the taste of local craftsmanship to its campus, providing a boost to both student life and Norwalk's growing coffee culture.

A Norwalk native from the Silvermine area, and Fairfield Prep alumnus from the Class of 2004, Silvermine Coffee Roasters owner Thomas Morsanutto said, "I'm very excited to be working with Fairfield University and providing coffee across campus. I have so many great memories from my time at Prep and am honored to share my passion with the next generation of students."

National Coffee Day presents the perfect moment for the university to announce this collaboration, which aligns with Fairfield's broader commitment of supporting small businesses and creating vibrant, localized connections.

The university's third-party sponsorship agency Van Wagner Sports and Entertainment, facilitated the partnership between Silvermine Coffee Roasters and Fairfield University.

Silvermine Coffee Roasters first made headlines locally in the fall of 2023 when it opened in Norwalk's Silvermine district, offering coffee enthusiasts a selection of expertly roasted blends that reflect both tradition and innovation.
