Latest Information on Wildfire Burning near S. Palo Verde Ranch Road and E. Chief Butte Road

Update: 10/10/2024 (7:05 A.M.)

Information provided by the Pinal County Sheriff's Office: Residents in the Panther Butte neighborhood are in a GO - evacuate status.

High overnight winds have significantly increased fire activity. The fire continues moving to the northwest, along the west side of State Route 79, and north/northwest of the Oracle Junction. As of Wednesday night, the fire was being reported at 500 acres.

Additional resources including, 3 hand crews, 6 engines and 2 water tenders are on order for Thursday.

Any additional evacuation information will come from the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.
