The Head of State received Israel’s Minister of Foreign Affairs in Sándor Palace

During the meeting with Israel Katz, the President of Hungary highlighted that since the beginnings, Hungary has consistently taken the position that Israel has every right to defend itself, to protect its country and citizens.

President Sulyok firmly condemned the attack by Hamas on October 7th and the activities of the terrorist organisation.

Dr. Tamás Sulyok expressed hopefulness concerning the Israeli steps taken to facilitate the admission of humanitarian aid supplies intended for the Gaza Strip.

The Head of State added that he trusts that he will have the opportunity to welcome Isaac Herzog, the President of the State of Israel, to Hungary already this year.
