St. Charles County Highway Department Seeks Public Comments on West Meyer Road Project

The St. Charles County Highway Department invites the public to share their feedback on upcoming West Meyer Road improvements. Construction would widen and resurface the existing road from the intersection with Highway W east to the bridge over a tributary of McCoy Creek. Residents may view plans and submit questions and comments online July 22-Aug. 5 at sccmo.org/WestMeyerRoad.

The proposed improvements are the final phase of long-term improvements along West Meyer Road between Highway W and Wentzville Parkway. Current plans for the project include:

  • Widening driving lanes and adding paved shoulders.
  • Improving sight distance and safety by reducing the severity of steep hills.
  • Defining roadside ditches to improve runoff.
  • Adding a shared use path from the bridge to Oglesby Park.

The anticipated schedule for this project is to complete design in 2024, acquire necessary easements and right-of-way throughout 2025, and begin construction in early 2026.

After reviewing the plans available on the County website, residents can provide their feedback on the online comment form. For questions about the project, contact Chris Bostic, Highway Project Manager, at 636-949-7900, ext. 7165, or [email protected].

For additional questions, please contact the St. Charles County Highway Department at 636-949-7305.
