MARIETTA, GA - The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art is pleased to announce the return of Chalktoberfest, our internationally recognized Chalk Art and Craft Beer Festival, October 12-13, 2024 on the Marietta Square. Chalktoberfest is an art-filled weekend with something for the whole family to enjoy. Professional chalk artists from across the USA, and around the globe bring their talents to the beautiful streets of Marietta Square for all to enjoy. Enjoy your afternoon as you watch the chalk artists create their masterpieces, listen to local bands perform in Glover Park, and support local arts, craft, and food vendors. Chalktoberfest has something for everyone, and the best part is that the chalk festival is free and open to the public! In addition to the weekend-long chalk art festival, Chalktoberfest will present our annual Craft Beer Festival on Saturday, October 12th and our annual Community Chalk Competition on Sunday, October 13th.

The Craft Beer Festival will be held on Saturday, October 12th, 2024 from 12:00pm - 5:00pm on West Park Square. Enjoy unlimited samples of over 100 different kinds of brew from dozens of local companies and 25 varieties of wine. All Craft Beer Festival participants will receive a collectible 2024 Chalktoberfest souvenir cup! Stroll around the Marietta Square with your refreshing craft brew and experience the exciting 2D and 3D art popping off the ground as chalk artists fill the streets with their art. Buy your Craft Beer Festival tickets online now to save money! Ticket prices go up on the day of the event. Visit www.chalktoberfest.com to purchase your tickets today.

The Community Chalk Competition will be held on Sunday, October 13th, 2024, 11:00am - 1:00pm. This competition is a unique opportunity for community members to try their hand at creating their own chalk art, have a chance to win exciting prizes, and be part of the chalk art legacy that Chalktoberfest brings each year. The competition is open for the public to participate, and participants may enter as individuals or as part of a group. Visit our website to register for the competition.

Chalktoberfest is brought to you by the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art (MCMA). Located just off of Marietta Square, MCMA is the only art museum in Metro Atlanta focusing solely on American fine art. The festival proceeds support the Museum's mission of "building community through art," and admission to the Museum is free all weekend-long during Chalktoberfest!
