AmeriServ Account Campaign Supports Area Breast Cancer Awareness Efforts, Patient Needs

Johnstown, PA (NASDAQ: ASRV) - AmeriServ Bank announced today that it has donated $5,000 to the Windber, PA-based Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center as part of its annual October account opening campaign. The donation will help fund the Center's Pink Ribbon Care, a program that assists patients who are unable to pay for breast-related health services including mammograms, follow-up diagnostic services and genetic counseling.

For every savings or checking account that opened throughout the month of October, AmeriServ pledged to donate $25 to the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center and continue to support the fight against breast cancer. "This is the fifth year that we've held the campaign, and the response continues to be tremendous," Susan Tomera Angeletti, AmeriServ senior vice president - marketing and alternative delivery, said. "Our partnership with the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center is helping people living within our communities gain access to the medical treatment they need. We are honored to work with the Center and to promote the invaluable services they bring to our area."

Since introducing its account opening campaign in 2020, AmeriServ Bank has donated $25,000 to the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center. Erin Goins, Director of Women's Services for Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber, said "AmeriServ Bank's generous support of the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center will allow us to provide services to our patients who may normally delay or skip vital appointments due to financial hardship.
