Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway Wednesday

​Reporters and photographers are invited to attend the Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway Event on November 20 at 10 locations in Palm Beach County.

Coordinated by the Palm Beach County Office of Community Revitalization (OCR), the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, the Police Athletic League, Firefighters/Paramedics of Palm Beach County, Lessing's Hospitality Group, Living Hungry Inc., Palm Beach Harvest, Inc., former County Commissioner Jeff Koons, Good Greek Moving & Storage and Cheney Brothers. The Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway will provide hundreds of turkeys to preselected families in need in ten CCRT communities in Palm Beach County (Cabana Colony, Canal Point, Country Club Acres, Gramercy Park, Kennedy Estates, Lake Worth West, Limestone Creek, Plantation, San Castle, and Westgate). The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Salvation Army, at 2011 Palm Beach Lakes Blvd., where the turkeys are to be delivered, and then distributed to the different communities.

During this event, turkeys will be handed out personally by OCR Staff, PBSO deputies, firefighters, and community volunteers. Each family will receive a 10-12 pound turkey and veggies to enjoy at Thanksgiving dinner. Some elected officials will be attending.
