HRC 57th Session: Item 6: UPR Outcome adoption – Chile

President,

Armenia welcomes the distinguished delegation of Chile. We appreciate Chile's engagement in the Universal Periodic Review process and its commitment to the protection and promotion of human rights.

We are pleased to note that Chile supported the majority of recommendations suggested during the 46^th session of the UPR Working Group, including all recommendations of Armenia. We note with satisfaction the focus on reforming the anti-discrimination law, Act No. 20.609, to enhance the institutional framework and strengthen protections against discrimination, and on ongoing efforts to promote the integration of migrants into local communities. These are vital for fostering inclusivity and supporting the harmonious coexistence of diverse populations.

Armenia is confident that the implementation of the recommendations will further contribute to Chile's continuing progress in human rights and social justice.

We express our full support for the adoption of the Working Group's report and wish Chile every success in implementing the accepted recommendations.
