Investigation into Fatal Crash at 6600 Synott Road

November 12, 2024- Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6600 Synott Road about 6 p.m. on Monday (November 11).

The identity of the deceased male, 91, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The male attempted to cross the northbound lanes of the street near the above address, not in a crosswalk, and was struck by an orange Kia Rio. The driver and male passenger remained at the scene.

Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased. The driver, 68, was determined not to be impaired and was questioned and released.

The investigation is continuing.
