Meaningful Engagement Session for Oil and Gas Methane Rule - OOOOc

The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality/Air Quality Division (AQD) will hold Meaningful Engagement Sessions for the Oil and Gas Methane Rule, 40 CFR Part 60, subpart OOOOc for existing sources throughout the State of Wyoming. On October 14, 2024, a Meaningful Engagement Session will be held at 1:00 p.m., at the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, 280 US-191, Rock Springs, Wyoming. On October 15, 2024, a Meaningful Engagement Session will be held at 1:00 p.m., at the Sublette County Public Library, 155 S Tyler Avenue, Pinedale, Wyoming. On October 16, 2024, a Meaningful Engagement Session will be held at 1:00 p.m., at the Fremont County Public Library, 200 Amoretti Street, Lander, Wyoming. These meetings will include presentations led by the AQD covering the above topic. At the conclusion of these presentations, there will be opportunities to engage and provide input that may help inform the Division's State Plan development. The Division is seeking input from all interested parties, including affected facilities under the rule and the general public. The Division will provide prompts to help direct the conversation rather than limit discussions. Discussion topics can be found at https://deq.wyoming.gov/aqd/oil-and-gas-methane-rule/

The AQD will conduct this meeting in the development process for the creation of a State Plan as required by the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) March 6, 2024 Final Rule, "Standards of Performance for New, Reconstructed, and Modified Sources and Emissions Guidelines for Existing Sources: Oil and Natural Gas Sector Climate Review."
