Urgent Appeal for Information Regarding a Hit-and-Run in Mitchell County

(Mitchell County, GA) - The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team (SCRT) is urgently seeking assistance from the public in an investigation involving a hit-and-run suspect who killed an 88-year-old man. SCRT believes the vehicle is a 90's Ford make of either a Ranger, Bronco, or Explorer; or a late 90's Chevrolet Silverado. There will be damage to the front passenger side headlight area. The hit and run occurred on Mount Olive Road in Mitchell County on September 20, 2024, around 6 p.m.

We appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, has information about the suspect, or has seen the vehicle in question to please come forward. No detail is too small, and any information could significantly contribute to bringing closure to this investigation.
