EUMA Head of Mission's statement on International Women's Day

Women's Day 2024 is not just another date on the calendar for the European Union Mission in Armenia (EUMA).

In a world striving for inclusiveness, we are confirming our commitment to creating a work environment that not only values diversity but actively nurtures a thriving environment where every individual, regardless of gender, feels heard, respected, and empowered.

The theme #InspireInclusionresonates deeply within our organisation.

It goes without saying that the transformational power of inclusion, understanding that a world where every woman's voice is heard, and their potential is fully realised, is a world that prospers.

Recognising the crucial role that women play in society, we at EUMA are implementing our mandate in line with the Council of the European Union's Decisions establishing the Mission, applying the principle of gender equality and the agenda of the United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR 1325) on Women, Peace and Security.

A lot of work is yet to be done. However, we are committed to inclusion, breaking down barriers, dismantling stereotypes and paving the way for a better future.
