Niagara University Levesque Institute Hosts Third Community Conversation

Niagara University's Levesque Institute for Civic Engagement is hosting the WNY Service Learning Coalition Summit on Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Statler Room on the fourth floor of Glynn Hall. Community-based organizations, universities, colleges, and businesses dedicated to collaborative service-learning projects and initiatives are encouraged to attend this event, which will feature keynote speaker Danielle Battle from Aspen Institute's Weave: The Social Fabric Project and executive director of RICH (Restoring Inner City Hope, Inc.).

Focusing on the theme "High Impact Practices and Partnerships Transform the Community," attendees will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions on how to enhance partnerships and drive community transformation through service and innovation. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

The summit is the third in a series of Community Conversations funded through the generous support of the Oishei Foundation. For more information and to register, visit https://wnyservicelearningcoalition.com/1nov2024niagarau/.

The Weave Project was founded in 2018 at the Aspen Institute to address the crisis of broken social trust by connecting, supporting, and investing in local leaders so they can weave a new, inclusive social fabric where they live.

The Western New York Service Learning Coalition is a collaboration of colleges, universities, and community organizations that is committed to sharing resources, knowledge, and practices related to service-learning and community engagement in an effort to strengthen reciprocal campus-community partnerships to promote student civic responsibility.
