New City Hall getting rooftop lighting upgrade

New City Hall getting rooftop lighting upgrade

Published on October 04, 2024

Most City services have now transitioned from the old City Hall at 200 Texas St. to the new City Hall at the former Pier One headquarters, located at 100 Fort Worth Trail. This relocation improves residents' access to essential services, although some departments will continue moving over the next few months as renovations progress.

While many services are now available at the new location, renovations are ongoing on several floors that are not yet complete.

In addition, the new City Hall's lighting system is undergoing significant upgrades. The rooftop lights will remain off or in testing phases for the next few months as construction crews enhance the system's capabilities and efficiency. During this time, the City will not be able to accommodate special-event lighting requests.

The new and improved lighting system is expected to be installed by Christmas. We appreciate the community's understanding as we work to enhance this important feature of the new City Hall. Watch City News for updates once the improved system is operational or ready.
