Roxbury Officers Recovered Trafficking Amounts of Fentanyl and Crack Cocaine

At about 12:15 AM, on Friday, October 18, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested Lorenzo Myers, 37, of Boston, on drug trafficking charges.

Officers were on patrol in the area of Tremont Street and Columbus Avenue when they observed a motor vehicle with expired registration. Officers activated their cruiser's emergency lights and sirens to initiate a traffic stop.

Officers requested the operator to exit the vehicle as it would be towed. Officers conducted a motor vehicle inventory search and recovered three plastic bags of what they believed to be Fentanyl, and a digital scale.

As officers continued their inventory search, they recovered fourteen plastic bags of Marijuana, a second digital scale, numerous empty plastic bags, and $592 in U.S. currency. Officers searched the suspect and recovered three plastic bags of Crack Cocaine. The drugs were later weighed and determined to be 31 grams of Fentanyl, and 40 grams of Crack Cocaine.

Myers was placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking of Class A, Trafficking of Class B, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
