Foreign Ministry announces results of youth selection process for COP29
  • The 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change will be held from November 11-22 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Matías Romero Institute (IMR), the Mexican Youth Institute (Imjuve), the National Institute of Indigenous Peoples (INPI), The Climate Reality Project Latin America, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), and the Embassy of the Netherlands in Mexico announce the results of the selection process for the four young people who will join the Mexican delegation at the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), to be held from November 11-22 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

This stage of the process was overseen by the Selection Committee, which adhered fully and strictly to criteria of transparency, objectivity, inclusion, non-discrimination, and representativeness. Its decision is final. The finalists will be contacted by the Foreign Ministry to receive information about their participation in COP29.

The organizing bodies express their gratitude and recognition for the outstanding work and effort demonstrated by the youths who participated in the process. We will continue working with our youths to strengthen climate action in Mexico.
