Bellflower Provides Additional Safety Personnel

The City of Bellflower has contracted with Southwest Patrol for security services the past 6 years. The guards are responsible for patrolling our parks, city facilities, and conducting roving patrols of the city serving as a visual deterrence to combat crime. Earlier this year, the Bellflower City Council approved an increase in Southwest Patrol services to focus more resources on engaging with the City's homeless population. The current deployment of guards is almost 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Bellflower utilizes a mixture of both armed and unarmed guards in our service deployment which plays a vital role in providing additional support for the Los Angeles County Sheriff Deputies assigned to patrol the community.
