July Holiday Experience

There is plenty of fantastic fun for everyone this July with minds-on and hands-on activities across both MOTAT locations.

Get hands-on in Te Puawānanga our new science and technology centre! Play with light, colour and energy. This July, create stunning whetū "stars" in the Science Alive Te Manawa Magic Box, using weaving, lashing and knot techniques. What designs can you make?

Or check out the interactive Solar Tsunamis exhibition in the Discovery Dome. Powered by Tūhura Otago Museum, Solar Tsunamis takes a closer look at solar flares, circuitry, and the "weather" effect the sun has for us on Earth.

Plus, on July 21, it's LIVE DAY: Energy.

With live entertainment, food and beverages plus endless activities - there's a little something for everyone!

All school holiday activities are included in General Admission.
