COLUMBUS-Speaker Pro Tempore Scott Oelslager (R-North Canton) is pleased to announce the recent passage of multiple important pieces of legislation.

Address fraudulent business filings, related document (94-2): Sub. Senate Bill 98 will provide a system and security improvement to protect Ohio's businesses and consumers.

Designate Veterans Suicide Awareness and Prevention Day (96-0): Co-sponsored by Oelslager, Senate Bill 225 will designate September 22nd of each year as "Veterans Suicide Awareness and Prevention Day."

Allow human trafficking victim to expunge certain records (96-1): Co-sponsored by Oelslager, House Bill 214 will open doors to employment, safe stable housing, family reunification and successful, healthy community integration by allowing a victim of human trafficking to expunge certain criminal records.

Ohio Childhood Safety Act (95-2): Co-sponsored by Oelslager, Sub. Senate Bill 112 will require annual inspections of all protective door assemblies in school buildings, ensuring compliance with NFPA 101 standards.

Urge enactment of Great Lakes Restoration Initiative Act of 2024 (96-0): House Concurrent Resolution 14 will urge Congress to support the reauthorization of the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative.

Include energy generated by nuclear reaction as green energy (86-10): House Bill 308 will define nuclear energy as green energy in Ohio.
