HBO to Restrict Two State Highways in Delaware County

07/25/2024

King of Prussia, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that HBO will restrict two state highways in Edgmont and Newtown townships, Delaware County.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
  • Tuesday, August 6, and Wednesday, August 7, from 7:00 AM to 1:00 AM the following morning, Gradyville Road will be closed and detoured between Delchester Road and Providence Road in Edgmont Township. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Providence Road, Route 3 (West Chester Pike), and Delchester Road. Local access will be maintained up to the work zone.
  • Tuesday, August 6, and Wednesday, August 7, from 7:00 PM to 1:00 AM the following morning, rolling lane closures are planned in both directions on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Campus Boulevard and Bishop Hollow Road in Newtown Township.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

HBO will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
