Weekly APA Public Comment Periods Announcement


RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency is accepting public comment on projects currently under review. The public is encouraged to go online to learn more about each public comment opportunity and to submit comments electronically.

At present, the following projects are available for comment at https://apa.ny.gov/Hearings/index.cfm:

• Construction and operation of the 12,000-square-foot Six Nations Iroquois Cultural Center in the Town of Franklin, Franklin County

• Installation of a Clemson Pond Leveler in Lily Pond to increase water outflow through a beaver dam during periods of high water in the Town of Piercefield, St. Lawrence County

• Extension of trucking and hauling operations associated with a commercial sand and gravel extraction in the Town of Ticonderoga, Essex County

• A subdivision of approximately 98 acres to create eight lots to be developed by one single family dwelling each in the Town of Franklin, Franklin County

• A four-lot subdivision and development of three 5-acre lots in the Tupper Lake Business Park in the Town of Franklin, Franklin County

The mission of the Adirondack Park Agency is to protect the public and private resources of the Adirondack Park through the exercise of the powers and duties of the Agency as provided by law.
