Children’s author/illustrator Jan Brett visits Natchitoches on book tour stop

NATCHITOCHES - Acclaimed children's author and illustrator Jan Brett stopped in Natchitoches Dec. 8 to visit meet readers and talk about her newest book, ""Alice in a Winter Wonderland." Brett talked about her background and the inspiration for her books and did an art illustration before signing copies of her books. Brett, a native of Massachusetts, is a New York Times #1 bestselling author/illustrator with over 44 million books in print. She has brought to life lovable characters and imaginary backdrops for children for more than 40 years. Natchitoches Parish Library, Northwestern State University's Positivity Club and Books-A-Million presented the event, which was sponsored by NSU's Gallaspy College of Education and Human Development, NSU's School of Education and NSU's Child and Family Network. Artwork by NSU Elementary Lab students that was inspired by Brett's books was displayed for the event.
