Green Oil (Prasino Ladi), a subsidiary of Motor Oil Group, collaborates with the Municipality of Athens to promote the circular economy.

Green Oil (Prasino Ladi), a subsidiary of Motor Oil Group, aiming to strengthen the circular economy business model, as well as to educate citizens and especially young people in order to cultivate environmental awareness, organized an educational activity for primary school students in cooperation with the Municipality of Athens.

The aim of the action was to raise children's awareness of the basic principles of sustainability, known as the 4Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recover and Recycle. The children participated in hands-on workshops, learning how to repair everyday items and reduce resource consumption, and were trained in the proper categorisation and reuse of materials through interactive games. Special emphasis was placed on the recycling of cooking oil and its conversion into biodiesel, thus helping children to understand the importance of recycling and other everyday materials. The activity was carried out by SciCo's educational team with specialists such as a teachers, environmentalists, physicists and chemists.
