Diamond Park is set to come alive once again as loyal Kellie Harrington fans come together to cheer on their local hero at a live match screening, hosted by The North East Inner City Initiative and Dublin City Council this Tuesday night, as she fights to bring home Olympic Gold in the Women's 60kg boxing final, live from the Paris Olympic Games 2024.

The Dublin 1 native triumphed over Beatriz Ferreira of Brazil in a thrilling semi-final on Saturday 3rd, cheered on by huge crowds back home in an atmosphere that can only be described as electric at Diamond Park for the free screening of the bout. Diamond Park will open to the public from 9pm on Tuesday 6th August, with the live fight scheduled for 10:06pm. There will be no shortage of entertainment pre - event either, with a screening of highlights from this years' screenings along with a live performance from the incredibly talented Arkins Dance Academy, who brought home the bronze medal last month from the Dance World Cup in Prague.

Speaking after her semi-final victory, the 100th win of her impressive career, proud Dubliner Kellie was quoted as saying "Whether I win or lose I am going to go home to a great family and an absolutely brilliant community. I know my community is super proud of me. Whether I win or lose, they're part of me and I'm part of them and I honestly can't wait to get home and celebrate with them,"
