At TerraSol Energies, success is rooted in family ties and strengthened by deep community relationships.
For over 15 years, TerraSol Energies, Inc. (TerraSol) has powered the Mid-Atlantic with renewable energy solutions rooted in a commitment to engineering expertise, stellar customer service, and cutting-edge technology. A family-owned business, TerraSol has built a sterling local reputation for delivering long-lasting, high-quality residential and commercial systems with a personal touch.
To date, TerraSol has installed nearly 4.5 megawatts of solar capacity, delivering more than $1.6 million in energy savings to homeowners and businesses across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland. "Our success is measured not just in megawatts installed or money earned, but in the lasting relationships we've built with our customers and our community," said TerraSol Co-founder and President Dave Santoleri in a recent conversation with Enphase. "That really makes us the proudest."
Since it was founded in 2009, TerraSol has established itself as a trusted residential installer dedicated to customer satisfaction. "We don't try to compete with the big national brands," said Dave. "Instead, we strive to provide the latest and greatest products and an excellent customer experience."
"On SolarReviews.com, our residential customers rate us 4.86 out of 5," added Rob Santoleri, head of sales and business development at TerraSol. "This is a priority for us. As a result, a majority of our business comes from referrals from happy clients."
To ensure a positive client experience, the TerraSol team prioritizes transparency and customer education. "We take a consultative approach rather than a sales approach," Rob explained. "We very much pride ourselves on being education-focused."
In 2016, TerraSol commissioned its first commercial project in Pennsylvania. It has since expanded to deliver solar and storage solutions to a wide range of verticals, including manufacturing, shipping, auto dealerships, and universities. Local businesses and schools have also responded positively to TerraSol's consultative approach, fueling the installer's consistent growth in the commercial market. "It takes time to build a book of business, but ultimately, with a proven record of high-quality work, that network starts to pay for itself," said Rob.
TerraSol's partnership with Enphase Energy is a cornerstone of its success. Core to TerraSol's DNA is a commitment to innovation and cutting-edge technology, so it's no surprise that it has installed Enphase microinverters since its inception. The longevity and reliability of Enphase products align perfectly with TerraSol's commitment to quality. "The first Enphase microinverters that we installed were on a church back in 2010," David stated. "All of those microinverters are still working. I always love to see that - it's proof of Enphase's high-quality, long-lasting products."
This aligns perfectly with the commitment to innovation and quality that are core to TerraSol's DNA. "We love Enphase for a multitude of reasons," Rob said. "Their products are high quality, reliable, and efficient, and their commitment to client service makes them an invaluable partner to us."
"Enphase has a wide range of educational resources," he continued. "We always direct our customers to these materials so they can learn for themselves that they're getting the best out there."
As TerraSol expands its commercial portfolio, Enphase microinverters continue to prove their worth. "Smaller systems on pitched or partially shaded rooftops can be tricky," Rob explained. "Enphase commercial microinverters are the perfect solution, giving us the flexibility to work with newer, higher-powered modules becoming increasingly common in the commercial sector."
"Especially as our projects grow in scale, we appreciate the dedication Enphase shows to customer service," said Rob. "The Enphase technical team is very responsive; they're helpful from top to bottom. Knowing that Enphase won't leave us hanging should any problems arise gives us the confidence to take on a wider range of commercial projects."
Looking ahead, TerraSol is poised for even more growth. Its five-year business plan includes further expansion into the commercial sector, increased focus on battery energy storage, and a move into EV charging. The team has also secured almost $1 million in grants for DC fast charging from the U.S. Department of Energy National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) initiative, reflecting its forward-looking approach to energy management.
"We grew cautiously and stayed true to our ethos of excellence for over a decade," Dave reflected. "Today, with the experience and teams we've built, the business is growing. But importantly, we are growing in a manner that we can control - this way, we never compromise on quality or customer experience."
As TerraSol continues to evolve, its combination of engineering expertise, commitment to cutting-edge technology, and family-driven focus on customer satisfaction remains at the core of its success. With each system installed, TerraSol strengthens its community of informed, empowered customers. Together, they're building a brighter, cleaner future-one roof at a time.
