Preparations for the 2024/25 season are underway: following performance diagnostics, the main item on the agenda for Thursday was the first team training session of preseason. New head coach Nuri Sahin led the players through a 90-minute session on the training ground in Brackel.

Preparations for the 2024/25 season are underway: following performance diagnostics, the main item on the agenda for Thursday was the first team training session of preseason. New head coach Nuri Sahin led the players through a 90-minute session on the training ground in Brackel.

After a speech and a warm-up with sprinting exercises, Sahin asked his players to practise passing. The programme then included various game forms. In between, the coach brought his players together at the tactics board before the session, which lasted just over an hour, concluded with six small goals.

The second training session of the day will follow in the afternoon. The first test match of preseason will take place on Friday, when BVB face a selection of amateur footballers in the DEW dream match in Holzwickede (kick-off 18:00 CEST, live on BVB-TV and Sky). (cr)
