St Gabriel's primary and nursery to reopen on 16 December

Alternative arrangements are in place until then however all parents and carers have been informed that children should attend St Gabriel's on Monday as usual.

Following completion of SGN works in and around the school campus, council teams and contractors have been on site since Friday 6 December carrying out necessary repairs to internal areas, checking all systems including the heating, IT and phone equipment, and undertaking a deep clean of all spaces and restock of the kitchen. SGN is also reinstating the car park and external entrance areas. Staff and children will be able to safely return to the school on Monday 16 December and continue their learning within St Gabriel's.

This has been an unusual and challenging period for all concerned and we are grateful for the support shown to Mr Buchanan and his team throughout We are proud of the work that our teams undertook to relocate a school, support families and put in place all necessary arrangements at short notice with children's best interests and safety at heart. We are pleased to confirm the return date and to let the school enjoy a more normal Christmas period ahead of the break.
