Hard work and fellowship, that's how Antioch College marked the start of October.
Students, faculty, and staff took part in Community Day on October1. It's a beloved tradition for Antiochians. Once a quarter the entire community takes a day to participate in meaningful service projects that benefit the college. The rest of the day is spent engaging with fellow community members and sharing meals.
In October students and faculty revitalized the college's Apothecary Garden right outside of Pennell House, where the campus' Mental Health services are located. Ahead of Community Day, students accompanied Faculty member Richard Kraince to purchase new plants for the garden.
In addition to working on the Apothecary Garden, students, faculty, and staff participated in a Land Acknowledgement at Red Square, shared brunch at North Kitchen, and held a "Thank Antioch Donors" appreciation session.
