Celebrating Honda’s Hybrid Heroes
November 25, 2024 - LAS VEGAS, NV
- Iconic racers and iconic machines descended on Las Vegas Motor Speedway ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix
Prior to the 2024 Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, Honda, HRC and Acura gathered a collection of hybrid hero machines including the Acura ARX-06, Indycar, the Indycar hybrid-powered CR-V Hybrid Racer and the production Honda Civic Hybrid to celebrate the performance of Honda's hybrid Power Unit (PU) technology as an important pillar of Honda's automotive electrification strategy. No other manufacturer can claim such a range of world-leading (award-, race- and championship-winning) hybrid PUs, machines and drivers.
Driving these hero machines, Honda brought together multiple Formula 1 World Champion Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez of Oracle Red Bull Racing, Yuki Tsunoda and Liam Lawson of Visa Cash App RB, together with 6x Indycar champion and 4x Daytona 24H winner Scott Dixon, 3x Daytona 24H winner and IMSA PC and LMP3 champion Colin Braun, and Formula Drift champion and Pikes Peak winner Daijiro Yoshihara.
