Independence Fest 2024: What to Know

We can't wait to celebrate the Fourth of July with you at Independence Fest 2024! This Thursday, July 4, the gates at Bakersfield Park (1201 Duncan Ln.) open at 5 p.m. for hours of free, live entertainment. Here's what you need to know:

Entertainment Lineup

• 5 p.m.: Texas-based, rock and roll band Time Thief kicks off the live entertainment.
• 6:15 p.m.: Crowd favorite Le Freak returns to pump up the crowd.
• 8:15 p.m.: Headliner Pat Green takes the stage.
• 9:50 p.m.: A fireworks show presented by McDonald's and JSK Operations Management, Inc., to the south of the stage, ends the night with a bang.

The entertainment is presented by Republic Services, GDS Wealth Management, Williams Tharp Architects, and Sam Pack's Five Star Ford Lewisville. While all of that is happening on the main stage, you can also enjoy a vintage car show, kids' zone presented by CoServ, food trucks, vendor booths, and more.

What can I bring?

• Coolers, backpacks, and totes.
• Outside food and beverages are allowed, but alcohol and glass containers are prohibited.
• Chairs-in-a-bag, blankets, strollers, and wagons.
• Cameras and binoculars.
• Sunscreen, insect repellent, and umbrellas less than 5' in diameter.
• Plenty of water! It's going to be hot, y'all.

What should I leave at home?

• Pop-up tents or umbrellas more than 5' in diameter.
• Outdoor grills.
• Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in or out of the festival but will be sold on site.
• Weapons of any kind (firearms, knives, etc.).
• Fireworks of any kind.
• Glass containers.
• Skateboards, bicycles, Segways, or scooters.
• This is a non-smoking event, per Town of Flower Mound Ordinance No. 71-08.
• Pets, with the exception of service animals.

Parking

There is no onsite parking at the event, but the Town offers a free park and shuttle service, a park and walk option, and two ride sharing drop-off and pick-up locations. The shuttle service begins at 4:45 p.m. and will continue throughout the evening, briefly pausing during the fireworks show.

Please note, Duncan Lane along Bakersfield Park will close for this event from Wednesday, July 3 at 8 a.m. until Friday, July 5 at 9 p.m. Please use a different route during that time.
