Ingram Content Group Brings Audiobooks to Spotify Premium

NASHVILLE, TENN, July 25, 2024 - Ingram Content Group ("Ingram"), a leader in global book, e-book, and audiobook distribution, announces today a collaboration with streaming giant Spotify to bring audiobooks of independent publishers to the subscribers of Spotify Premium.

At launch, titles from over 100 of Ingram's distributed publishers including Europa Editions, Milkweed Editions, G&D Media, Bard Press, New Society Publishers and more are available with more to follow. Titles include the likes of Poet Laureate Ada Limón's self-narrated collection The Hurting Kind, Mo Bunnell's forthcoming Give to Grow and best-selling author Bob Proctor'sBorn Rich. In the U.S., listeners can also dive into Damon Galgut's Booker Prize-winning novel The Promise and Anne Berest's international bestseller The Postcard to name a few.

Since launching Audiobooks in Premium offering last year, Spotify's listeners are trying new and different books with hundreds of thousands of unique titles streamed. In addition to best sellers, back catalog titles are also gaining popularity. Currently, nine of the top 10 audiobooks on Spotify are backlist titles and six of those were released over five years ago.
