BANK ACTIVITY

Branch Activity

On August 21, 2024, the Commissioner approved the application by Fairfield County Bank to convert its branch located at 3 Governors Street, Ridgefield, CT, from a limited branch to a full-service branch.

CONSUMER CREDIT DIVISION ACTIVITY

Consent Order

On August 16, 2024, the Commissioner entered into a Consent Order with EverBright Financing 2023, LLC d/b/a EverBright (NMLS # 2544376) ("EverBright"), Juno Beach, Florida. The Consent Order was based on an investigation by the Consumer Credit Division. As a result of such investigation, the Commissioner alleged that since December 14, 2023, EverBright has engaged in the business of a sales finance company in Connecticut without a license, in violation of Section 36a-536 of the Connecticut General Statutes, by acquiring 121 retail installment contracts from its affiliate, EverBright R1, LLC d/b/a EverBright, NMLS # 2361430, which has been licensed to engage in the business of a sales finance company in Connecticut since November 1, 2022. As part of the Consent Order, EverBright paid $10,000 as a civil penalty and $400 as back licensing fees.
