Friday marked a historic day for USF Sarasota-Manatee. By 9 a.m., the campus was buzzing with excitement as leadership welcomed the first students to the Campus Student Center and Atala Residence Hall.

New student governors will leverage new building to enhance student life

USF Sarasota-Manatee students elected Gov. Spence Gerber and Lt. Gov. Alexandra López to lead student government on the campus, which celebrated the grand opening of a new Campus Student Center and Atala Hall in August. Gerber and López plan to leverage the new, 100,000 square-foot building to strengthen connections between students who live on and off campus.
