erra State Community College proudly recognizes Aaron Zaleski as its October Rotary Student of the Month.
Zaleski, a resident of Fremont, earned his GED in 2007 and served as an M1A1 Abrams tank commander in Afghanistan. Now, as a U.S. Army veteran, he's pursuing a degree in electrical power and controls/integrated manufacturing, driven by a desire to secure a stable career close to home. He chose Terra State for its strong academic programs and the opportunity to study locally, citing job security as a key factor in his choice. Zaleski has excelled academically, earning an A in every class and consistently making the dean's list. He's also enjoyed connecting with a new generation of students.
Beyond his studies, Zaleski is an active volunteer, coaching and mentoring young hunters. A dedicated father of two daughters, he shares his passion for hunting and the outdoors with them. This past summer, he contributed significantly as a student employee, supporting the renovation of Building E on the Terra State campus.
James Webber, Assistant Professor of Robotics, nominated Zaleski, commending him for his dedication and reliability. "Aaron is consistently punctual and responsible, despite balancing family responsibilities and ongoing service in the U.S. Army Reserve, where he trains other reservists on tank simulators," Webber remarked. "He has even assisted with projects on my homestead. Aaron is a tireless worker with a positive attitude, and I'm confident he'll become a highly successful Terra State alumnus."
After graduation, Zaleski plans to specialize in robotics and excel in his field, setting his sights on becoming a top professional in his industry.
