Learn about Native American history at the documentary screening of ‘The Forgotten Creeks’ and a panel discussion

On Tuesday, Oct. 22, the University of Alabama at Birmingham will host a screening of "The Forgotten Creeks" from 6-8:30 p.m. at University Hall. The documentary sheds light on Native American history and how they overcame obstacles in getting to where they are today.

There will be a reception at 5 p.m. in the lobby before the event and a panel discussion immediately following the documentary screening. The panelists include:

• Seth Johnson, director of Longleaf Studios and associate dean of the College of Arts, Humanities and Sciences at the Jacksonville State University
• Stephanie A. Bryan, tribal chair and CEO of the Poarch Creek Indians
• Robert McGhee, vice chair of the Poarch Creek Indians Tribal Council
• Justin Stabler, member of the Poarch Creek Indians Tribal Council
